We are more than two weeks into the summer term and have already enjoyed some gorgeous sunny weather. Everything is beginning to grow! ☺ We have planted potatoes and are planning some vegetables for our raised bed. We are also trying to keep on top of the weeds – if anyone has any spare time to help out with this we would be very grateful !!
Thank you very much indeed to everyone who completed our recent questionnaire. We are pleased to say that overall, the comments were very positive. The feedback we receive is invaluable in making plans for the future and in ensuring our provision maintains its high standards and provides what our families want.
It really feels like this term is flying past! The snow was very exciting, but it is lovely to now see signs of Spring in the garden with our bulbs growing and plants beginning to come back to life.
We have had a busy few weeks since half term and have recently been enjoying celebrating colour, with a new ‘favourite colour’ chart and lots of puzzles and games to help us remember all the different colour names. We also made colourful splatter paint figures for Holi and some creative Mother’s Day cards. Many of the children have also brought their favourite books in to share in celebration of World Book Day and we are making a display for our story corner
We have enjoyed a lovely start to the term with a settled group of children and some new friends joining us at Playgroup.
We have been thinking about the winter weather and were very excited to be caught in a mini-blizzard at play time earlier this week. We have finished our Winter collage, with a beautiful swan swimming on a sparkling pond, have made some lovely wintry paintings and had fun making stick people and enjoying the Stick Man story. We also remembered to feed the birds as our bird feeders were empty and we have been checking our outdoor thermometer each day to see what the temperature is. The coldest day so far has been 0 degrees!
